Your installation day, step by step.
A standard boiler swap takes us 4–6 hours from start to finish. Here's exactly what happens, when utilities will be off, and what to expect — from arrival to coffee at the end.
Arrival, intros & dust sheets down
We arrive in a sign-written van, introduce ourselves and show you our Gas Safe ID cards. Before any tools come out, dust sheets cover floors and stairs, and we walk through the plan with you so you know exactly what’s happening.
Drain down & isolate utilities
Old boiler is isolated electrically and the heating system is drained. Gas is off at the meter from this point. We’ll let you know roughly when water and gas will return.
Old boiler removed
Out comes the old unit — carefully, without scuffing tiles or paintwork. It’s wrapped, bagged and loaded straight into the van for free disposal.
New boiler hung & pipework adjusted
New boiler is mounted to manufacturer spec. Pipework is upsized or rerouted as needed (gas, flow, return, condensate, mains, expansion). Filling loop and isolation valves fitted.
Magnetic filter & system flush
A MagnaClean filter is fitted on the return to capture sludge for years to come. Full chemical flush dosed with cleaner, then drained and refilled with fresh inhibitor — protects the new boiler from day one.
Gas tightness, commissioning & tests
Boiler is electrically connected, gas is back on. We carry out a full gas tightness test, flue gas analysis, and commission the boiler to manufacturer settings. Wireless thermostat paired and programmed to your routine.
Handover, paperwork & a brew
We walk you through your new boiler — thermostat, hot-water mode, pressure top-up, what every dial does. You get the manuals, your Gas Safety Certificate, Building Compliance Certificate and warranty registered in your name. Floors hoovered, dust sheets up, kettle on.
